Responsibilities

NCI: As a DevSecOps Engineer, you are part of a sophisticated technical team responsible for delivering a flexible, scalable, cloud-ready, fault-tolerant, modernized system. Your mission is to architect and implement a DevSecOps solution, including end-to-end fully automated CI/CD pipeline. You apply Agile best practices to collaborate and participate in creating user stories for test cases to ensure the delivery of solutions. In assuming this position, you are a vital contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments as well as to expand our AI solutions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation of DevSecOps tools and processes to create, maintain and innovate fully automated CI/CD pipelines for the development of microservices
  • Ensure the implementation of monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and enforcing policies to enhance system security
  • Recommend technical policies and consult with development teams on remediations
  • Build and configure a high performing, scalable, cloud-based infrastructure
  • Maintain highly available and resilient applications in a production environment
  • Meet both technical and consumer needs
  • Assist in determining the direction of current and future developments in the DevSecOps strategy
  • Work across development and operational environments
  • Stay abreast of software testing technologies and best practices
  • Skillful to multitask and flexible to changing strategies and re-prioritized tasks

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • U.S Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline
  • National security clearance at the SECRET level
  • 2+ years of experience in configuration control, testing, security, automation, containerization, orchestration, and cloud services open source technologies
  • Experience developing software or scripting with Java, JavaScript, Python

 

Physical Requirements: 

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

  • Sitting for long periods
  • Ambulate throughout an office
  • Ambulate between several buildings
