Responsibilities

NCI is looking for a self-driven ENGINEERING AND IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER with the desire for success and a relentless interest in providing a positive customer experience to complement a cohesive team of IT professionals.The Engineering and Implementation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all engineering projects and initiatives to ensure seamless integration of projects through the IDT engineering pipeline. The Engineering and Implementation Manager shall be a change agent, defining new ways of developing product and packaging solutions internally and externally, helping the organization become more effective and agile.In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

 

This position requires a Public Trust (SECRET) and is located in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

 

Overview:

GSA Office of Digital Infrastructure Technologies (IDT), formerly known as GSA IT Office of Enterprise Infrastructure Operations, is part of the GSA Office of Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO). IDT implements, operates, maintains, and supports GSA’s IT infrastructure Software/Hardware (SW/HW) and systems, GSA’s mission-support systems, and applications. IDT covers the complete set of service offerings using a brokerage model. IDT provides services which include, but are not limited to:

  1. IT service desk and on-site support.
  2. End-user device management.
  3. Conference and collaboration support.
  4. Network and telecommunications support.
  5. Unified communications.
  6. Compute/storage and cloud management.
  7. Identity, credential, and access management.

 

Qualifications

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recent (within the last five years) of experience managing and leading a large engineering and operations staff with skills applicable to a project environment similar in size, scope, and complexity as this TO.
  • Certified ITIL 4 Specialist High-Velocity IT
  • This position requires a Public Trust (SECRET) Clearance

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • PMI- Agile Practitioner Certification
  • Certified ITIL 4 Managing Professional.
  • Experience managing a transition of systems/applications into a cloud environment.
  • Professional-level cloud certification in at least one of the three cloud service providers: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.
  • Minimum of five years of experience managing Agile and DevOps projects.
  • Experience with implementing technical and process changes in a highly complex infrastructure environment similar to the GSA environment.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., architects, operations personnel) to gather service requirements in support of design and delivery of service capabilities.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Minimum four years of relevant experience
