NCI:  As a Network Engineer, provide communications engineering expertise to CTSF in support of designing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring the integrity of the Test Floor Network and as necessary, external communications circuits that provide connectivity to Materiel Developer labs and/or Federated Net-Centric Sites (FaNS) test facilities.  This support includes providing technical expertise

in the areas of communications network engineering, satellite communications, C4ISR systems, architecture development and implementation, network analysis, and network operations.  This position is located in Fort Hood, Texas; relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.


Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing of the network infrastructure and application components.
  • Provide direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations as well as design, setup and configure complex switching environments.
  • Direct the design, setup, and configuration of complex wireless network in support of open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking and assist in the design of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS, and Ether-Channel (Bonding).
  • Provide expertise in the strategic areas of C4ISR SOS architecture
  • Provide analysis and assessments and test evaluation of potential high payoff communications capabilities.




  • Current/active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (STEM).
  • 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT II (Security+) certification and Cisco Computing Environment (CCNA/CCNP)


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of related experience in the fields of Network Engineering
  • At least 1 year experience with the Army Tactical C4ISR environment





This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

  • Ambulate between several buildings
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
