Responsibilities

NCI: As a Systems Engineer II supporting Joint Force Headquarters Department of Defense Information Network (JFHQ-DODIN/ACEM). The JFHQ-DODIN requires support in the following areas: Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO), Endpoint Security, and Information Assurance. Location of work: Fort Meade, MD. You will support the ARCYBER command in providing Systems Engineering Support to technical and programmatic Information Assurance (IA) support for network and information security systems. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

 

Highlights:

  • Experience with EndPoint security (HBSS or Tanium or Splunk).
  • Serves as senior staff that maintains systems and coordinates work activities with engineering staff and other service providers.
  • Monitors and manages system resources to maintain system efficiency.
  • Performs user access functions such as creating user profiles and accounts.
  • In coordination with other support elements, supports system software/hardware maintenance and data backups.
  • Support IA activities such as IAVA patching and STIG compliance.
  • Designs, develops, evaluates and modifies systems and process throughout their lifecycle.
  • Gathers, validates, and manages requirements.
  • Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Participates in system conceptual design and documentation.
  • Supports establishing system specifications and collaborates with engineering teams to develop systems.
  • Supports design reviews and test plans/procedures execution.
  • Provide technical support and training for applicable intelligence operations systems.
  • Ancillary IT support is required to support intelligence-based systems.
  • Support Incident Management.
  • Experienced maintaining and supporting computer, monitoring and managing system resources, and performing security administration functions such as user profile and account access management.
  • Skilled in maintaining system documentation, optimizing system performance, and installing software. Experience performing systems engineering tasks, monitoring, optimizing systems, and measuring system performance.
  • Conduct network and infrastructure plans and assessments for the adoption and implementation of enterprise services, such as, cybersecurity, cloud computing services, Joint Information Environment, optical upgrades, Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS), global ID, access management, and enterprise services.
  • Provide assistance in the development, inspection, evaluation, and oversight of cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Edu/Exp: BA/BA 7+ Years
  • IA Cert: DoD 8570 IAM III (CISM, CISSP, GSLC, CCISO)

Preferred:

  • CE Cert: CISCO CCNA/CCNP, Juniper, Mellanox switches and/or Red Hat certifications
