  • Responsibilities

    NCI: As the Network Engineer III - ( Field Service Representative ) ( Network Engineer III ), you will assist fielding, system integration, upgrade, and support schedules and activities. As technical field representatives for Government Program Office, facilitate communication between the field and the program office at meetings and conferences. Ensures local operators and base personnel are informed of program status, progress, issues, and planning schedules. Provide the Government Program Manager with any local operator or base program status issues, concerns, or questions regarding program progress, issues, and planning schedules. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

     

     

    Highlights of Responsibilities:

    • Participate in local user meetings (e.g., Daily Ops brief, Operational CCB (Configuration Control Board), Operational ERB (Engineering Review Board), DRB (Design Review Board), IOP (Information Operations Platform) Call, Ticket Review, ARC Ticket Review, Change Advisory Board (CAB)
    • Provide information, provide briefings to leadership on the status of programs
    • Participate in commander conferences, staff meetings, A6 director calls, IPT calls, section meetings and other relevant unit meeting involving systems and programs supporting the units mission involving Program Office deployed systems and cyber infrastructure
    • Provide relevant program information back to the PMO via telecons, email and/or weekly meetings
    • Provide a monthly consolidated FER Field Report in conjunction with the monthly status report deliverable.
    • Summarize of all work accomplished by the FERs during the previous month
    • Provide on-site Field Service Engineering (FSE). The FER performs FSE activities including but not limited to the following:
    • Provide FSE efforts such as equipment configuration, troubleshooting and installation when directed by the Government
    • Coordinate and accomplish data calls and site surveys when directed by the Government

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance 
    • Must be able to obtain Security+ Certification within 3 months
    • Must be able to obtain MCSA 2012, CCNA, MCSA or CISSP certification within 180 days of hire.
    • Four year degree in an IT related field or equivalent experience
    • Experience within or for the U.S. Department of Defense
    • Background in delivering technical software solutions and architectures
    • 4-9 years of experience in IT related field

    • Strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and make decisions
    • Ability to network and interact with key groups and individuals
    • Capable of working independently and with demonstrated working knowledge of Air Force IT Infrastructure and Equipment
    • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in Air Force operations, communications business processes, personnel customer support, and coordination of people and resources

     

    Physical Requirements:
