  • Responsibilities

    NCI: As a Desktop Support Technician IV, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of desk top support techs performing a variety of technical tasks. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.


    Highlights of Responsibilities:


    Duties include, but are not limited to:


    • Monitors statistical records of all problems and conditions reported
    • Conducts detailed analysis and studies of communications requirements
    • Develops and recommends methods of problem solution
    • Coordinates all activities of a technical support group which are required to fulfill requirements
    • Activities include resolution of hardware problems and interactive on-line database user problems
    • Arranges for and coordinates product demonstrations
    • Manages a learning laboratory and a personal computer hardware/software training facility



    • Associate’s Degree or equivalent related experience
    • Capable of adding and removing workstations
    • Security Clearance: TS w/SCI
    • 7 - 12 years of experience



    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • At least one (1) year experience with Windows desktop support
    • At least two (2) years experience with Cisco phone systems support
    • At least two (2) years experience working knowledge of remote tools



    Physical Requirements:


    This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

    • Sitting for long periods
    • Standing for long periods
    • Ambulate throughout an office
    • Ambulate between several buildings
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
    • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 50 pounds
    • Travel by land or air transportation 10 %
