  • Responsibilities

    NCI: As a Desktop Support Technician III, you will have the opportunity to mentor and develop less senior help desk agents.In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.


    Highlights of Responsibilities:

    • Supervises and trains operators in the identification of routine/high priority system problems and assignment of corrective action requirements
    • Conducts training tasks in accordance with established corrective priority categories
    • Coordinates system trouble reports with database analysts, system and application programmers, and functional database managers
    • Ensures compliance with electronic and physical security procedures and standards
    • Mentors and develops less senior help desk agents




    • High School Diploma or equivalent related experience
    • Capable of adding and removing workstations
    • Security Clearance: TS w/SCI
    • 4 - 9 years of experience




    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • At least one (1) year experience with Windows desktop support
    • At least two (2) years experience with Cisco phone systems support
    • At least two (2) years experience working knowledge of remote tools



    Physical Requirements:


    This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

    • Sitting for long periods
    • Standing for long periods
    • Ambulate throughout an office
    • Ambulate between several buildings
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
    • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 50 pounds
    • Travel by land or air transportation 10 %
