    As a DevOps Architect who is passionate about modernization and automation, you will be responsible for building out and supporting our customer’s DevOps environment. You will be part of a team bringing modern technologies and best practices to meet the executive’s vision of portability by 2020. This position is located in Washington, DC and is metro accessible.



    • Manage, instruct, assign, and direct the activities of software engineering staff to ensure that the work performed meets the needs of the users
    • Provide strategic direction for organization-wide software engineering activities
    • Assist the customer to build out a Kubernetes/Docker environment using industry best practices
    • Create a pilot for a containers environment from the developers’ standpoint; develop a greenfield application into a new container environment
    • Create a blueprint for converting existing applications after the pilot is completed
    • Work closely with infrastructure team, the DevOps team, and other developers


    Minimum Requirements:
    • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
    • 10 years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience
    • 5 years of experience with Java
    • 3 years of related development experience in an Agile team environment
    • Solid understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
    • Experience with Dockers and OpenShift
    • Management/leadership skills


    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
    • 15 years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience
    • Agile certification
    • AWS experience
    • Presentation skills
