  • Responsibilities

    NCI: As the System Engineer, you will assist fielding, system integration, upgrade, and support schedules and activities. As technical field representatives for Government Program Office, facilitate communication between the field and the program office at meetings and conferences. Ensures local operators and base personnel are informed of program status, progress, issues, and planning schedules. Provide the Government Program Manager with any local operator or base program status issues, concerns, or questions regarding program progress, issues, and planning schedules. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

     

    • Participate in local user meetings (e.g., Daily Ops brief, Operational CCB (Configuration Control Board), Operational ERB (Engineering Review Board), DRB (Design Review Board), IOP (Information Operations Platform) Call, Ticket Review, ARC Ticket Review, Change Advisory Board (CAB)
    • Based on Government provided information, provide briefings to leadership on the status of programs Participate in commander conferences, staff meetings, A6 director calls, IPT calls, section meetings and other relevant unit meeting involving systems and programs supporting the unit’s mission involving Program Office deployed systems and cyber infrastructure
    • Provide relevant program information back to the PMO via telecons, email and/or weekly meetings
    • Provide a monthly consolidated FER Field Report in conjunction with the monthly status report deliverable. The report includes at minimum:
    • Summary of all work accomplished by the FERs during the previous month Mission Impact of this work (i.e., schedule, cost, performance)
    • Status of current efforts, issues or risks
    • In addition to acting as field liaisons, FER provides on-site Field Service Engineering (FSE). The FER performs FSE activities including but not limited to the following: Provide FSE efforts such as equipment configuration, troubleshooting and installation when directed by the Government
    • Coordinate and accomplish data calls and site surveys when directed by the Government

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Active Secret Clearance
    • Minimum of CCNA or MCSA 2012 certification or must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
    • Comptia Security+ within 3 months.
    • 4-9 years of experiecnce 

    Preferred Education:

    • Has a background in delivering technical software solutions and architectures Experience within or for the U.S. Department of Defense a must Takes initiative to understand new technologies and skills through formal and informal means
