    Responsibilities

    NCI is seeking Fielding Logistics Specialist II with duties as a Warehouse Specialist experienced to support operations within Project Manager (PM) Soldier Protection and Individual Equipment (SPIE) Technical Management Division in PEO Soldier Program, Fort Belvoir, VA. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Proficient in the DLA Disposition Services (former Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO)) process and procedures
    • Proficient in Stock control and accounting procedures in accordance with US Army Supply accountability procedures (AR 735-5)
    • Receive, inspect, inventory, load/unload, store, issue and deliver supplies and equipment
    • Maintain automated supply system for accounting of organizational supplies and equipment
    • Ensures order documentation and product receipt is executed according to AR 735-5 procedures
    • Experienced in warehouse procedures and inventory management, receipt, Issue and Turn-In
    • Takes inventory of products in warehouse
    • Safely uses materials handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts and ensures all safety procedures
    • Processes product returns and disposal of products
    • Inspects warehouse storage racks, pallet jack and other equipment as scheduled
    • Immediately reports accidents or injuries to management
    • Ensures warehouse is kept clean and orderly
    • Perform other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Active DoD Secret clearance.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and analytical capabilities.
    • 2-3 years' experience as a logistician.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

     

    • Education and Experience requirements:
    • High School AND 1yr at this level (10yrs progressive) OR
    • Associates field AND 1yr at this level (7yrs progressive) OR
    • Bachelor in non-directly related field AND 1yr at this level (4yrs progressive)OR
    • Bachelor in directly related field AND 1yr at this level (1yr progressive) OR
    • Masters in directly related field AND 0yr experience.

     

     

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

     

     

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • US Army Logistics Experience

      

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

    • Sitting for long periods
    • Standing for long periods
    • Ambulate throughout an office
    • Ambulate between several buildings
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
    • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 50 pounds
    • Travel by land or air transportation 5%
