    Responsibilities

    Responsible for providing life-cycle support for the Main Communication Facility (MCF), and Army Enterprise capabilities for Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), SECRET Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CX-I), network management toolsets, applications, related hardware and software per design and build guidance.

    • Knowledge of NetApp storage design, configuration, installation and maintenance.
    • Experience with VMware storage requirements, configuration and provisioning.
    • Provide planning, installing, configuring and upgrading support for NetApp storage infrastructure.
    • Provide support for storage projects and solutions for backup, disaster recovery, consolidation/de-duplication, data protection and performance.
    • Storage efficiency optimization such as upgrades, performance tuning and system audit tasks.
    • Prepare Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures for configuring and managing storage networks, configuring and managing storage and disk management.
    • Prepare Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures and provide input on data protection, access, authentication control, resource management, monitoring, high availability, fault tolerance and scalable storage infrastructure.
    • Participate in Enterprise testing for integrations of proposed new technologies to be included in the Enterprise design and develop test-related documentation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve enterprise storage problems.
    • Research and analyze DoD and DA policies to mitigate integration problems that may impact the Enterprise projects.
    • Review utilization statistics to ensure that equipment is properly sized. Take proactive steps in provisioning to meet requirements and provide analysis to determine the appropriate level of performance.
    • Provide regular status reports on tasks accomplished, current issues and progress toward goals.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Education: Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or Science or Business Administration or Mathematics and four (4) years experience; Associates in Arts and seven (7) years experience; Major Certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Software Engineer) and seve n (7) year experience; no degree/certification and eleven (11) years experience.

    • Certifications: Application Specific Certification (e.g. EMC, NetApp, HP) and DoD 8570.01 M, IAT Level III Baseline Certification

    • Clearance: Secret clearance (SSBI).

    • Specialized Experience: EMC Symmetrix, Celerra and Centera, EMC ControlCenter, PowerPath, Smarts Storage Insite, SRDF/A and SRDF/S, Centera replication, TimeFinder, EMC StorageScope, Cisco MDS, NetApp Technology, and Windows 2003/2008 server.

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • experience in data center operations and maintenance
    • experience in disk snapshots, storage, and replication to support disaster recovery and failover operations
    • experience in storage connectivity, allocation and infrastructure
    • experience in disaster recovery planning and execution
    • experience with US military command and control communications systems
    • experience in a Network Services Support of Consulting Role.
