  • Responsibilities

    NCI: is seeking a  Operations Analyst (Operations Research Specialist) with duties as an Information Technology (IT) Analyst supporting the Acquisition Policy Directorate, Headquarters, PEO Soldier, Fort Belvoir, VA. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

     

    MAJOR DUTIES: 

    • Support PEO CIO and Cybersecurity program lead
    • Perform day-to-day IMO duties outlined in DA-PAM 25-1-1, paragraph 6-4
    • Coordinate PEO Soldier IT desktop support functions at Ft. Belvoir for projects involving multiple organizations
    • Support PEO Soldier’s commercial mobile device efforts (smartphones, tablets, etc.)
    • Research, provide recommendations, and coordinate purchases of Hardware and Software
    • Receive property from NVESD warehouse and other sources, maintain property book and ensure compliance with policy
    • Manage HQ software licenses
    • Manage wireless device inventory
    • Wired communications lead
    • Lead for VTC equipment & infrastructure
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Security Clearance: DoD SECRET
    • The individual must be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable with operating in a fast-paced environment.
    • The individual should have a minimum of 3 years work experience and be familiar with how the Army operates.
    • Highly organized, be willing to work in a team environment, be able to prioritize tasking, and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment.
    • Possession and maintenance of an active Secret security clearance (minimum) is required to begin employment; US Citizenship is required.
    • High School/GED > 14years
    • Associates  >  12 years
    • Bachelors in non Directly Related Field  > 10 years
    • Bachelors in Directly Related Field  AND  > 5 years
    • Masters in non Directly Related Field  > 5 years
    • Masters in Directly Related Field  > 0 years

     

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Business or related field.
    • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA)
    • Knowledge of Department of the Army rank structure and protocol.
    • Good oral and written communication skills and analytical capabilities required.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and Outlook.
