    NCI: As the Lead Quality Assurance Technician (Quality Assurance Technician III), you will be responsible for receiving, identifying, and quality-checking all records received from the providers, including all initial, and subsequent ADR documentation. The Lead Quality Assurance Technician ensures the validity of the documentation by performing a thorough quality check on each claim including that all pages are for the correct beneficiary and that pages are legible and complete. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.



    Highlights of Responsibilities:


    • Receives, processes, quality checks medical records received from the providers
    • Transfers all valid documentation to the First Touch Team department and MRS Team
    • Notifies Customer Service Representatives of all invalid documentation and collaborates with them on the resubmission of illegible records
    • Notifies the Scanning department of all invalid documentation that were manually scanned and collaborates with them on the rescanning of those records if needed.
    • Inputs data into various processing computer systems
    • Provides oversight of the QC process, ensuring that claims go through QC in a timely manner
    • Resolves any QC related issues and coordinates with other departments when necessary to resolve any issues at hand
    • Manages team’s schedule to ensure deadlines are met
    • Approves and keep tracks of team’s attendance, PTO requests and timesheets
    • Serves as team member’s backup when needed
    • Attends bi-weekly meeting and communicates any relevant issues or concerns to Applications department
    • Maintains a neat, organized work area
    • Attends required education and training programs
    • Complies with departmental policies and procedures
    • Performs other duties as assigned by Medical Records Manager




    • Associate’s Degree with at least four (4) years of medical records experience, or equivalent related experience admissible in lieu of degree


    Preferred Education and Experience:


    • Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification
    • Medicaid/CHIP experience preferred
    • Bilingual (Spanish) - Fluency in speaking, reading and understanding the Spanish language.
