    Responsibilities

    NCI: As a Senior Recruiter, you will become an integral part of the Talent Acquisition team, lending your support to a variety of business groups for both funded and proposal opportunities. We are looking for a well-poised, experienced professional comfortable operating in fast-paced and, at times, highly collaborative environment to join us here at our Reston, VA office. NCI supports a wide array of customers, skillsets, and programs to include, but not limited to, federal healthcare, cyber security, logistics, information technology support, and artificial intelligence. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments. 

     

     

    Highlights of Responsibilites: 

    • Sources, interviews, and selects applicants for technical positions; meets with hiring managers to determine job duties
    • Managing a requisition load, on average, between 15 and 35 positions at one time
    • Matches applicants to job openings; sources for future job openings
    • Lists job postings on job boards, social media, corporate career web sites, and other possible channels
    • Views applications; calls applicants and perform phone screens; arranges interviews for potential candidates
    • Composes offer letters and negotiates salary and benefits
    • Attends job fairs and open house events across the nation, as required
    • Ensures employment applications are completed and that new-hires are properly classified
    • Reviews personnel requisitions to ensure equitable offers are extended
    • Extends job offers to candidates and secures employment date
    • Produces and distributes internal and external position openings
    • Performs aspects of the employment process including writing and placing advertisements in local, and out-of-state papers and technical journals
    • Collects and records applicant information for Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and the Affirmative Action Program (AAP)
    • Counsels managers to follow appropriate interviewing and hiring procedures to comply with employment laws (e.g., Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Program and American Disabilities Act) and company procedures
    • Maintains business relationships with outside organizations (e.g., outplacement firms, universities, technical schools and professional organizations)

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree and at least four (4) years of recruiting experience in a government contract environment, or at least eleven (11) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
    • Hands-on, full lifecycle recruiting experience
    • Superb candidate and customer management skills and abilities
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Experience working with multiple applicant tracking systems (ATS) - iCIMS experience strongly preferred 
    • Firm understanding of DoD and federal contracts
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

     

    Physical Requirements:

     

    This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

    • Sitting for long periods
    • Standing for long periods
    • Ambulate throughout an office
    • Ambulate between several buildings
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
    • Travel by land or air transportation less than 5%
