  • Responsibilities

    NCI: As the AI Technical Architect, you will lead cutting edge Artificial Intelligence projects in an Agile DevSecOps environment. You will have a clear understanding of our technical solution including machine learning, neural networks, robotic process automation, and natural language processing in order to will work closely with the client in this high visibility role. The ideal candidate has a general intellectual curiosity and passion for solving problems with an eye for optimization and efficiency. The role will include meeting with internal business and technical stakeholders plus product owners to develop architecture and software delivery using both commercial and open source tools and software. In this role, you will develop software solutions using artificial intelligence and automation technologies as part of a team of developers and engineers working in an Agile environment. You will be challenged and tasked with leveraging your coding and programming prowess to assist NCI with the launch of Shai™, our new Machine Learning platform. This is a great opportunity to create dynamic, state-of-the-art software applications utilizing cutting-edge AI technologies in a fast-paced environment. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

     

     

    Highlights of Responsibilities:

     

    • Lead multiple teams in building and shipping software within an Agile DevSecOps environment.
    • Ensure that the software delivery team strives for end to end test automation
    • Utilize a CI/CD continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline to deliver software.
    • Analyze and design solutions in order to execute on a client-defined product backlog.
    • Ensure that applications can be continuously released with high levels of confidence while also improving the scalability, reliability, quality and performance.
    • Develop and implement software delivery standards, policies, and procedures in collaboration with client teams to prioritize shipping Minimal Viable Products.
    • Work closely with stakeholders delivering technical delivery updates on a weekly basis.
    • Work with developers as a mentor in answering their questions to technical impediments and provide alternative solutions by evaluating the risk/impact.
    • Drive the architecture road map solution.
    • Collaborate across teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Math, Engineering and Science.
    • 10 years software development and automation experience. 
    • 5 years hands-on experience designing and developing full-stack solutions including client-side, server-side, and database.
    • 5 years of experience delivering Minimal Viable Products using Lean and Agile DevSecOps practices.
    • 5 years of expertise in iterative development, leveraging continuous integration, scripting and automation for high performance development.
    • Prior Artificial Intelligence experience with machine learning, neural networks, robotic process automation, and natural language processing.
    • Prior cloud experience building applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
    • Prior test automation experience including unit, integration, security, accessibility and performance testing.

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

     

    • Advanced degree in Computer Science or Math, Engineering and Science.
    • AWS certification or equivalent expertise (DevOps, SysOps, Developer, or Architect).
    • Additional programming experience with languages such as Java, Ruby, Node.js, Python, C++ and PHP.
    • Experience with Red Hat Openshift, CI/CD DevOps, Containers, Kubernetes.
