    Responsibilities

    NCI:  As a PEO Soldier Equipment Subject Matter Expert/Exhibit Coordinator for the Army Program Executive Office (PEO) at Fort Belvoir, VA, you will support the Director for Operations, Headquarters PEO Soldier at Ft Belvoir, VA . You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of a wide range of events to include conferences, seminars, sporting events and other venues.  You will use your oral and presentation abilities to discuss Soldier systems to distinguished visitors, Senior DoD officials, students, and many visitors to PEO Soldier.  In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

     

     

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    • Ensures the consistency and accuracy of information of PEO Soldier products and programs being presented to our customers, the general public, industry and to the Army Senior Leadership.
    • Assist with development of Army marketing campaigns, PEO Soldier portfolio, internal and external videos.
    • Provide equipment briefings at PEO Soldier and installations and conferences throughout the United States and OCONUS.
    • Learn performance specifications and equipment descriptions on systems and programs with direct interface with Soldiers on the ground.
    • Serves as a Market Analyst/Event Coordinator in planning, coordinate, and execute all aspects of the marketing programs for large/small scale conferences, market related events, tradeshows, workshops and seminars.
    • Manage all aspects of events ranging from initial planning and after-action reports.
    • Responsible for the exhibit schedule, drafting taskers and Letter of Instructions (LOIs) for events 
    • Assists with all aspects of internal and external communications and marketing outreach activities. 
    • Manage the set up of all exhibits and associated items ie…panels, backdrops, displays, tables, computers, mannequins.
    • Acts as the Spokesperson for the various projects of PEO Soldier;
    • Briefs and demonstrates the capabilities of new systems to Executive Senior Leaders, Senior Military Leaders, Congressmen, and Diplomats.


     

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Active DoD Secret clearance.
    • Education and Experience requirements:
    • High School AND 14yrs translatable experience OR
    • Associates field AND 12yrs translatable experience OR
    • Bachelor in non-directly related field AND 10yrs translatable experience OR
    • Bachelor in directly related field AND 5yrs translatable experience OR
    • Masters in non-directly related field AND 5yrs translatable experience OR
    • Masters in directly related field AND some related course/lab work experience.
    • Must be able to drive a government vehicle (pickup truck or van)
    • Must have experience with and ability to properly setup PEO Soldier portfolio equipment (ie a rifle, MOLLE, helmet, etc.)

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Prior military experience using items in the PEO Soldier portfolio -- ie combat arms (Infantry, armor, field artillery)
    • Experience working with Public Affairs is desirable.
    • Instructor training.
    • Above average communication skills (verbal and written). 

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

    • Sitting for long periods
    • Standing for long periods
    • Ambulate throughout an office
    • Ambulate between several buildings
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
    • Repeatedly lift and carry weight up to 50 pounds – This position will require moving equipment from the warehouse to the demonstration site, the personmust be able to lift 40-50 pounds of equipment.
    • Travel by land or air transportation 15 %
