    Responsibilities

    NCI: As a Senior Recruiter for NCI, you will support a variety of business groups and recruit for both funded as well as proposal requisitions. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments. 

     

    Highlights of Responsibilities:

      • Host kick-off meetings with all relevant stakeholders at the initiation of each requisition assignment to gain a full understanding of the job duties, identify key skill sets required for each position, and level-set hiring manager expecttions
      • Devise and execute effective passive- and active-candidate sourcing strategies by fully leveraging all resources including the applicant tracking system, employee referrals, job boards, personal networks, social media, and any other relevant special interest resources
      • Source, qualify and present applicants for entry-level technical positions
      • Ensure a positive customer (among both candidates and internal stakeholders) experience by maintaing frequent communication througout the recruiting process
      • Prepare, negotiate and extend all offers, ensuring alignment with compensation guidelines and navigating approvals and exceptions
      • Ensure employment applications are completed and reviewed prior to interviews; identify any risks and communicate to responsible party or parties prior to interviews
      • Maintain accurate record keeping and ensure EEOC and OFCCP compliance at all times, and attend to AAP initiatives
      • Collaborate and communicate with staffing agencies as necessary
      • Attend job fairs
      • Serve as an ambassador of the human resources function internally, and represent the company throughout the marketplace
      • Counsel managers regarding effective talent management and recruiting initiatives to include interviewing and hiring procedures that comply with employment laws, protect the company’s brand, and enhance both employee and candidate experience and engagement
      • Consistently strive to improve recruiting processes, procedures and policies to ensure the department’s effectiveness and efficiency
      • Recruiters at this level are expected to require limited oversight and guidance and minimal hands-on management

     

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and at least two (2) years staffing experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
    • Hands-on full lifecycle recruiting experience, supporting 

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Technical recruiting experience within the GovCon environment
    • Familiarity with iCIMS ATS
    • Former military service

     

    Physical Requirements:

     

    This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

    • Operate a desktop and laptop computer
    • Easily see a computer screen, including fine text
    • Conduct frequent telephone calls 
    • Sit for long periods
    • Stand for long periods
    • Ambulate throughout an office
    • Ambulate between several buildings
    • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
    • Lift and carry weight up to 40 pounds
    • Travel by land or air transportation 5 % or less
