    Responsibilities

    NCI: As an Automation Engineer supporting our Artificial Intelligence (AI) team, you will be challenged and tasked with leveraging your coding and programming prowess to assist NCI with the launch of Shai™, our new Machine Learning/AI product. This is a new position within our burgeoning AI Department; the ideal candidate will need to be flexible and readily adapt to changes within an a versatile, ambiguous work environment as we continue to build out our AI Team. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

     


    Highlights of Responsibilities:

    • Implement custom automation workflows for our clients
    • Debug and triage issues related to infrastructure and initial testing configurations
    • Work with multiple stakeholders in a timely fashion
    • Integrate test plans into test infrastructure
    • Use software development programs and operating systems for daily operation and development
    • Define new techniques and best practices for all areas of robotic process automation
    • Provide feedback to product and development teams to help improve our in house process automation tools
    • Document process, procedures, and training materials for staff and stakeholders
    • Attend daily stand-up and periodic team meetings

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related degree; or a certificate from a coding bootcamp
    • Two (2) or more years of hands-on experience with process automation, coding and/or testing 
    • Experience writing automation scripts (Ruby, javascript, or similar)
    • Proficient with integration testing and tools like Selenium
    • Ability to understand large scale software & system architecture
    • Able to communicate technical issues with technical & non-technical folks alike
    • Experience in one of the following programming languages: Javascript, Ruby, etc…

     

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    • Experience with Atlassian Tools Suite Bamboo, JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence
    • Understanding of Continuous integration, testing, deployment & release methodologies
    • Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Autolt experience
    • Computer Vision
    • Experience with hardware testing
    • Proficiency with recent Windows Server operating systems
    • Working knowledge of Linux
    • Experience with SQL statements for data filtering and retrieval
