    NCI: As a Systems Integration Engineer (Functional Engineer) for Army Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier at Fort Belvoir, VA, you will support the efforts of the Project Manager Soldier Warrior Soldier Systems Integration Office. You will use your understanding of systems engineering across the full development lifecycle; requirements analysis, documentation, design, development, and test and evaluation in order to leverage that perspective in review and development of related documents. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.




    • Assist in the definition, development and maintenance of Soldier System configuration models, tools and procedures for the Warrior Integration Site (WINSITE).
    • Assist in the product visualization of the equipped Soldier to facilitate collaborative systems engineering across teams.
    • Support technical evolution and proposed changes to current Soldier System configuration and ensure continuous documentation of baseline configuration changes.
    • Assist with identification, analysis and integration of hardware solutions worn on or carried by Soldiers.
    • Assist with consideration of options, conduct of trade off analysis, development, recommendation, implementation, and monitoring of solutions based on Government decisions.




    • Ability to generate, and desire to communicate, innovative ideas in a collaborative environment
    • Mission oriented with strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

    • Understanding of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) tools, technical drawings development tools and its relative influence on product development, testing and integration

    • Demonstrated strong oral and communications skills

    • Strong working knowledge on Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, Project and Power Point

    • Proficiency with Computer Aided Model packages SolidWorks/Geomagic Studio.

    • Proficiency in 3D Scanning

    • Education and Experience:

    • High School and 14yrs translatable experience OR
      Associates field and 12yrs translatable experience OR
      Bachelor in non-directly related field and 10yrs translatable experience OR
      Bachelor in directly related field/Engineering and 5yrs translatable experience OR
      Masters in non-directly related field and 5yrs translatable experience OR
      Masters in directly related field/Engineering and some related course/lab work experience
    • Active DoD Secret clearance.


    • Working knowledge of the Army’s Infantry Soldier and associated equipment carried and consumed by soldiers in the conduct of tactical missions
    • Working knowledge and experience in Soldier System integration
    • Proficiency with Creo
    • Proficiency in 3D printing/rapid prototyping
