    Responsibilities

    NCI: As the Senior Acquisition Logistician you will provide support for Product Manager (PdM) Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (SCIE) of PEO Soldier at Fort Belvoir, VA, using your DAWIA and DoD 5000 experience. You will develop and execute strategic plans and policy, determine requirements and needs, investigate and resolve problems, interface with other functions and outside personnel, and assist in the preparation and execution of budgets. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

     

     

    Highlights of Responsibilities:

     

    • Will be responsible for decision breifings with senior leaders, including officers, to obtain decisions on behalf of the program.
    • Will be responsible for authoring quality DoD 5000 documentation for milestone A, B and C and/or overseeing the authoring to ensure accuracy.
    • Must be able to communicate the government PM's vision and mission.
    • Organizes and directs work, coordinates efforts related to planning and analysis for Department of Defense and Federal acquisition program lifecycle management functions. Plans and manages assignments, progress, and evaluates results.
    • Applies elements of Integrated Logistics Support during the planning for and execution of programs.
    • Maintains thorough understanding of DoD 5000.2 and current government acquisition concepts, principles, and documentation.
    • Plans, manages assignments, progress, and evaluates results.
    • Coordinates and exercises managerial direction over integration of supply, maintenance, new equipment training, fielding, item introduction provisioning and other logistical functions as required.
    • Manages development of and reviews acquisition support documentation.
    • May represent Government leadership at conferences and meetings.
    • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level II or III qualified or equivalent education and experience in one or more of the following career fields:
      • Auditing;
      • Business-Cost Estimating and Financial Management;
      • Contracting; Facilities Engineering;
      • Industrial and Contract Property Management;
      • Information Technology;
      • International Acquisition Management;
      • Life Cycle Logistics; Production,
      • Quality & Manufacturing;
      • Program Management;
      • Purchasing;
      • Science & Technology Manager;
      • Engineering;
      • and Test & Evaluation.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Security Clearance: Active SECRET.
    • Well versed in DAWIA practices (DAWIA Level II or III or equivalent preferred).
    • Experience with creating and maintaining Acquisition Documentation.
    • Possess knowledge and experience in the areas of Federal acquisition, program or project management.
    • Experience with DoD Acquisition processes (DoD 5000).
    • Experience in authoring Acquisition documentation for Milestons A, B and C.
    • Education and Experience requirements:
      • High School AND 20 yrs translatable experience OR
      • Associates field AND 16 yrs translatable experience OR
      • Bachelor in non-directly 15 yrs translatable experience OR
      • Bachelor in directly related field AND 10 yrs translatable experience OR
      • Masters in non-directly related field AND 10 yrs translatable experience OR
      • Masters in directly related field AND 7 yrs translatable experience OR
      • Doctorate AND 5 yrs translatable experience.
