    NCI: As a Senior Operations Analyst, you will support the Operations Directorate, PEO Soldier Program Headquarters, Fort Belvoir, VA. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.




    • Applies existing knowledge to a wide variety of unique and new situations.
    • Assist Chief, Current Operations in defining project objectives, work plans and internal controls.  Capable of operating independently and remotely.
    • Provides leadership to the Current Operations Branch on medium to large group effort tasks.  Serves as group leader with full responsibility for technical and project direction of work group.
    • May direct one or more phases of major project with responsibility for planning and progress reviews; develops charts, diagrams, and standard reports.
    • Develops instructions and guidance. Analyzes program execution with specific emphasis on meeting command objectives.  Supports the development of formal and informal presentations.
    • Coordinates across multiple organizations and staff directorates.
    • Provides leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute PEO Soldier conferences and events.  Coordinates conference content and agendas; coordinates administrative and logistical support and budgetary/contracting actions.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.




    • Security Clearance: Active DoD SECRET
    • Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
    • Proficient with MS Office products.
    • Education and Experience requirements:
    • High School AND 20 yrs experience OR
    • Associates AND 16 yrs experience OR
    • Bachelor in non-directly related field AND 15 yrs experience OR
    • Bachelor in directly related field AND 10 yrs experience OR
    • Masters in non-directly related field AND 10 yrs OR
    • Masters in directly related field AND 7 yrs experience OR 
    • Doctorate AND 5 yrs experience.




    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience required.
    • Ability to independently plan, design, and carry out programs, projects, studies, or other work related to PEO Soldier mission.
    • Ability to recognize and analyze complex problems, conduct research, summarize results, make appropriate recommendations, justify, defend, negotiate, or settle matters involving significant or controversial issues.
    • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with General Officers, Senior Executive Service civilians, high ranking officials of all DoD services, and major Army and Joint Commands.
    • Highly organized, be willing to work in a team environment, be able to prioritize tasks, and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment.
    • Must have extensive experience using MS Office Suite applications to include PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.
    • The position requires the ability to travel up to 20% to support mission requirements.





    • Knowledge of Military Rank and Protocol.
    • Previous experience in project management activities is a plus.
    • Previous experience in an Operations office.
    • Previous experience managing personnel, money, and equipment.
    • Previous experience advising senior officials.




         This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:
