  • Overview

    NCI: As the Logistics/Operations Specialist ( Operations Research Specialist ), you will support operations at PEO Soldier Product Manager (PM) Soldier Sensor and Laser Devices (SSL) of PEO, Fort Belvoir, VA. It will involve planning, coordinating, and supporting operational and logistics support functions for the Logistics Management Directorate (LMD) for PM SSL. It serves as first point of contact on a wide variety of analytical, acquisition, and logistical issues. In this position, you will develop and launch programs to improve operations and achieve success. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the Logistics Operations Management Analyst for the Logistics Management Directorate (LMD) for Program Manager Soldier Sensors and Lasers PM SSL).
    • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME), and Point of Contact for the coordination and procurement of all ammunition requests for the range portion of New Equipment Training (NET) for Soldiers in the Continental United States and Outside Continental United States. Coordinate with Army Materiel Command (AMC), Joint Munitions Command (JMC), and Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD).
    • Responsible for preparing NET certificates of achievement for units who have completed Advanced or Basic Training, which in turn enables the soldiers to receive five promotion points to their personnel records. Point of Contact for LMD to accept, track, and coordinate the completion of all PM SSL assigned taskers.
    • Point of Contact for all coordination and procurement of supplies and batteries for the O-5 staff, PM Soldier Maneuver Sensors and Soldier Precision Targeting Devices, in order to support Fielding and Testing Missions.
    • Act as point of contact for coordinating and scheduling all disposition of equipment with the Directorate of Logistics at Fort Belvoir, to also include the Defense Logistics Agency through the Law Enforcement Support Office program.
    • Act as Point of contact for the coordination of repairing and replacement of old or defective equipment in support of NET.
    • Work with the Business Management Division of PM SSL on Quarterly Transparency Reports (funding and quantity validation of the program); which are submitted to Congress.
    • Act as Point of Contact for scheduling Military Airlift Flights for DoD missions for the Program Executive Officer, Program Manager and Government and Contractor personnel within the organization.

    Qualifications

    • Security Clearance: DoD SECRET
    • Extensive knowledge of Military Protocols.
    • Experience with public speaking and giving briefings in person and via teleconference.
    • Working proficiency with MS Office products.
    • Education and Experience requirements:
      • High School AND 20 years experience OR
      • Associates field AND 16yrs experience OR
      • Bachelor in non-Directly related field AND 15yrs experience OR
      • Bachelor in Directly related field AND 10yrs experience OR
      • Masters in non-Directly related field AND 10yrs experience OR Masters in Directly related field AND 7yrs experience OR Doctorate and 5yrs experience.
