    Responsibilities

    NCI: As the Computer Security Specialists ( Computer Security Specialists III ), you will have the opportunity to support the Army by providing system administration support services. Your knowledge and experience will ensure the government customer's goals and systems are supported to the highest standards with the utmost professionalism. Your ability to work with the customer and ensure project tasks are met will provide satisfaction in supporting the US Army. In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and service that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.

     

    • Creates, modifies, and analyzes CISCO access control lists (ACL)
    • Installs, configures, and monitors intrusion detection systems (IDS)
    • Designs, develops, engineers and implements solutions to MLS requirements
    • Establishes and satisfies information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory and resource demands
    • Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of of doctrine and policies
    • Applies know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures
    • Performs analysis, design and development of security features for system architectures
    • Analyzes security audit logs for anomalies
    • Researches security trends and technologies
    • Provides high-level support to the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) program

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree or equivalent related experience
    • IAT Base line certification: CompTIA Security+ GSEC or SCNP or SSCP
    • Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP and the OSI model
    • Solid experience in monitoring, analyzing, and reacting to connectivity issues related to the firewalls
    • Good verbal and written communication and team skills
    • Secret clearance
    • 2-7 Years

     

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • At least one (1) year of hands-on experience with PowerShell / scripting
    • At least two (2) years of related experience and training certification in Information Systems security 
    • At least two (2) years experience working with common Microsoft products
    •  IAT Computing Environment certification: MCP or MCTS or MCSA within 6 months of hire
